Women Men traditions … rites of passage?
Many cultures, especially the elderly. It has a special tradition for children to become a man … and girls become women. Before a child or children, complete this rite, the special trip, the test … whole tribe of children with hearing regardless of age. Most of participation to demonstrate their courage, trust in the abilities, spiritual journey. The examples are included throughout, "vid" bunchy from 100 trees standing, hallucination and drug-seeking spirit, tattoos, scars, a week of boot camp case as hell, sun dance, ect, ect, ect …. In our Western cultures in general have nothing Thesis rites of passage. Examples are structured between certain groups, and the military, fraternity / class homes, the Boy Scouts. But not a general over all, a man a man who turns 18 on women and women at age 18 … without having to really prove itself. Do you think that in our culture in general would be better if we had some form of right of way to declare an adult?
For years I have always wanted we had this rite of passage for men and women in general! That's why sometimes I envy the Jewish people, because they have to – Bat and bar mitzvahs when they are 13 years old or thereabouts. The Jews are very fortunate to have this rite of passage. Christians should keep in mind as well ….
