careers tattoos

Tattoos are appropriate for someone in my position?
I am studying to become a psychotherapist, getting my masters and everything. I'm 21 years old and death for a little Irish rose tattoo on my wrist. I am concerned however that in practice it will work in the near future that some patients and / or colleagues have a problem with it. I think tattoos should be seen, and I did not get one that would not. But I'm afraid if there was any reaction to this decision. I do not want to risk my career, or that someone feels uncomfortable with it.
I would say that you can get tattoo, but put him in a garment that covers them. Why you have to get on your wrist? Tatoos do not look professional, so it is maintained at a minimum and in an inconspicuous place.
